libaudiofile-dbg software package provides Open-source version of SGIs audiofile library (debug), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libaudiofile-dbg
libaudiofile-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libaudiofile-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libaudiofile-dbg *
You will get with libaudiofile-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
